The Government see neighbourhood management as one of the principal
ingredients of its National Strategy for Neighbourhood Renewal. They
consider that it has a key role to play in reducing disadvantage and
improving overall life chances for communities in the 3,000 or so deprived
neighbourhoods in England.
This proposal is one of three, non-funded, Government pilot
initiatives alongside the formal Neighbourhood Management Pathfinders
announced earlier this year.
